MTAT — Motor Threshold
Maximum-likelihood (ML-PEST) motor-threshold estimation with confidence intervals across four parameter-estimation methods.
TMS Toolbox puts four trusted computational aids — motor-threshold estimation, Beam F3, and 10-20 scalp targeting — into one calm, fast app. Every calculation runs entirely on your device.
No accounts. No tracking. No network required.
Each tool implements a peer-reviewed method, with clear inputs and a saveable run log for your records.
Maximum-likelihood (ML-PEST) motor-threshold estimation with confidence intervals across four parameter-estimation methods.
Non-parametric staircase estimation of motor threshold using classic PEST step rules — fast and reference-grade.
Scalp-measurement localizer for the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex using the validated Beam F3 method.
Interactive 10-20 scalp targeting with centimeter-distance guidance measured from the vertex.
No accounts, no analytics, no advertising IDs. Every calculation runs on-device and nothing you enter leaves your phone.
No internet connection required — ideal for shielded rooms and clinical spaces where connectivity is limited.
Each tool implements a published algorithm, with citations to the original method authors right in the app.
Export a plain-text log of any run — settings, pulse-by-pulse history, and final estimate — straight to your device's Files.
A clean, low-distraction interface designed for use at the coil, not a spreadsheet buried in menus.
One consistent experience across platforms so your whole team can standardize on the same tools.
TMS Toolbox is intended for trained TMS researchers, clinicians, and technicians. It is an educational, research, and calculation aid — it is not an FDA-cleared medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or make clinical decisions.
Every output should be independently verified against established references and your own clinical judgment before it is used.

Head measurements, MEP responses, and threshold estimates never leave your device.
Works offline, with every calculation running on your own device. Choose the option that matches your hardware.
One download covers all three. Installed and updated through the App Store.
The standard way to install on iPhone and iPad. On Macs with Apple silicon, the same app runs natively from the Mac App Store — useful for planning sessions at a desk. Updates arrive automatically, and nothing needs to be enabled or approved first.
Phones and tablets, including Amazon Fire tablets. Three ways to install — any one of them gets you the same app.
For Amazon Fire tablets, and for any Android phone running the Amazon Appstore. Handles installation and updates for you, with no Google account required.
Built into every Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet, so there is nothing extra to install. Updates come through the Galaxy Store app alongside your other Samsung apps.
Install the app file straight from us, without going through a store. Use this if you don’t have the Amazon or Galaxy store on your device, or if your organisation distributes apps internally. It is the same app, signed by us — but Android will ask you to confirm a couple of warnings along the way, because it can’t verify an app it didn’t supply.
Android shows a warning for any app that doesn’t come from a store — something like “your phone isn’t allowed to install unknown apps from this source”, and possibly “this app wasn’t scanned” or “unknown developer” from Play Protect. That is expected and it is not a sign that anything is wrong — it simply means the app was downloaded directly rather than from a storefront. Here is the whole process:
Updates are not automatic with this method — check back here for new versions. To confirm you have the genuine file, its SHA‑256 checksum is published next to the download.
